It’s a tiny little hamlet called Cerezales del Condado in Spain. Mourning has been taking place as one of the most successful men ever has passed. He is Antonino Fernández Rodríguez who founded the hugely successful beer company, Corona.
While it’s sad to see the man go, the villagers are also experiencing very mixed feelings, as they are indeed feeling joyous. And they have very good reason to.
He left the people $210 million dollars.
Their are 80 people in Cerezales del Condado, so he essentially just made them all millionaires!
An incredible gesture for such a poor place. While the boss died earlier in the year, the will is now just coming out, revealing how the 99 year-old left part of his massive fortune to his former village locals!
Here’s what local bar owner Maximino Sanchez had to say:
“We never had any pesete (Spanish for ‘money’) before. I don’t know what we would have done without Antonino. God bless him. He was a true gentleman and angel.”
Apparently he posthumously invested millions to fund a variety of infrastructure projects in the village. He also paid for a new cultural center as well. Needless to say locals are amazed and incredibly happy.
Pretty amazing individual! Share this incredible story with friends and family!
